About us
The mission of Upland Theatre is to provide relevant theatrical opportunities that advocate professionalism, ensemble, creativity, communication, and self-confidence in order to train students to develop the inventive skills necessary to thrive as a performer on stage and in life.
During the course of a single school year, students have the opportunity to:
-participate in Main Stage Productions (up to 5 a year)
-be a part of award winning and nationally qualified competition teams
-participate in regional, state, and national-level festivals
-receive instruction in Theatre I, Theatre II- Design, Theatre III, and Theatre IV Honors
-be exposed to scholarship auditions, interviews, and applications for college and university programs for theatre majors, minors, and non-majors
Activities:
-Thespian Troupe #4712- in the top 3 percent of Thespian troupes in the state for work in productions, competitions, community service, and organizing state festival events
